SURRENDER 2 JESUS
I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.
Psalms 121:1-2
WHAT IS A CHRISTIAN?
A Christian or Christianity is truly accepting
Jesus as your Lord and Savior!
As Christians we are set free
from our sins
because of the Grace of God
and the faith we have.
According to The American Heritage® Dictionary of the English Language,
the general definition of a Christian is:
"One who professes belief in Jesus as Christ or follows the religion based
on the life and teachings of Jesus."
The central characteristic of all Christians is our belief that God came to earth as a man -Jesus Christ -- who lived, loved and taught among humanity. Jesus is the Christ, the only begotten Son of God, and the Savior of the world.
Christians believe that Jesus was born of the Virgin Mary,
He died on the cross for the sins of mankind,
was resurrected on the third day,
and returned to Heaven.
Christians also believe in the Second Coming of Christ.

There are many Christian denominations, each fluctuating a bit in its interpretation of the teachings in the Bible. As Christians we believe, read and live by the Bible which is also referred to as the Holy Scripture, the Word of God. The bible is the inspired book by God (II Timothy 3:16).
A Christian is one who calls upon Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.
Romans 10:9: If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
A Christian is one who strives to follow Jesus; we have a daily walk in Christ.
John 8:12: Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.”
A Christian is one who centers living on the basis of the bible and strives to live as Jesus did.
1 John 2:6: Those who say they live in God should live their lives as Jesus did.
1 Peter 1:14: So you must live as God’s obedient children.
A Christian is one who gives their life and services to God.
Luke 4:8: Jesus replied, “The Scriptures say, ‘You must worship the Lord your God and serve only him.’
As a Christian, we are to put Jesus above all things.
Mark 8:34-38: And calling the crowd to him with his disciples, he said to them, "If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and the gospel’s will save it. For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul? For what can a man give in return for his soul? For whoever is ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him will the Son of Man also be ashamed when he comes in the glory of his Father with the holy angels."
As a Christian we accept and follow Jesus' teachings.
John 8:31-32: So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed in him, "If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."
John 15:5-8: I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in me he is thrown away like a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned. If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples.
As a Christians we are to gather in the name of our Lord in worship,
praise and ministry of the word of God.
I Corinthians 5:4: In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Hebrews 13:15: By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.
Psalm 50:5: Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.
A Christian is one who is dependent upon a heavenly Father,
his son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit who lives in us.
1 John 4:16: We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them.
A Christian is one who is also a spiritual brother or sister to others.
James 5:20: you can be sure that whoever brings the sinner back will save that person from death and bring about the forgiveness of many sins.
John 13:34-35: A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another."
A Christian is one who is prepared to suffer for the sake of Jesus Christ.
John 12:26: Anyone who wants to be my disciple must follow me, because my As a Christian we are to make disciples.
1 Peter 4:16: But it is no shame to suffer for being a Christian. Praise God for the privilege of being called by his name!
John 15:18: “If the world hates you, remember that it hated me first.
A Christian is a disciple of Christ.
servants must be where I am. And the Father will honor anyone who serves me.
As a Christian we are to Love others.
1 John 3:10: By this the children of God and the children of the devil are obvious: anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor the one who does not love his brother.
Matthew 28:18-20: And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
Christianity starts when you accept and receive Jesus Christ as YOUR Lord and Savior.
Christianity starts when you accept Him in your heart and start a daily walk with Him.
Real Christianity is a relationship with Jesus Christ (not a ritual) but one who has received Jesus Christ and acknowledges him as Lord and God. As a Christian we are to reflect Jesus living in us. We all start as infants in Christ with a transformation, following a process of spiritual growth as we become mature in faith. We are to read the bible and not think of it as a set of rules but see this the way we should be living.
We are to unite as a body of Christ in church, study and learn the bible, as Jesus said,
"It is written, "'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God."
Being a Christian is not being a Fanatic but yet we are in love with our creator as he loved us first!
Christianity is a relationship with Jesus Christ following Christ is a life long journey;
It is a real, living, relationship with Jesus! AMEN!
Surrender 2 Jesus!
